Hi, I'm Juan. Thanks for stopping by—it's great to have you here!
I was born in Mexico City some time ago and was raised in a small town named Xicotepec de Juárez. Before moving to the U.S.—initially to the Dallas–Fort Worth metro area and eventually to New Jersey, where we currently live—I lived in several places within Mexico: Pachuca, Veracruz, Mexico City, Monterrey, and Aguascalientes. I have good memories of each of them.
Professionally speaking, I started my career in middleware and grew into IT leadership roles where I’ve managed multi-million dollar P&Ls, negotiated enterprise contracts, and built high-performing teams. I’m naturally curious and resilient, and I’m always learning—whether it’s the basics of a new language or how to install drywall.
Outside of work, I like building and fixing things around the house—anything from replacing a power outlet to adding a new electric circuit or remodeling a bathroom. These projects keep my engineering skills sharp and give me a creative space beyond the office.
My biggest passion, though, is running. I’ve completed 10 marathons so far, and each one has taught me something about endurance, patience, discipline, and health. It’s not just about fitness—it’s my time to reset, think, and sometimes even find solutions to whatever problem I’m facing in life.
Music is my great companion when I run. Although I listen to a broad mix of genres (my playlists might jump from Los Tigres del Norte to Iron Maiden and everything in between), I rarely add new songs—I just listen to the same ones over and over. Fun fact: I can run tens of miles a week with music, but I don’t listen to it during races.
